SPOILER-FREE PLOT SUMMARY
After G.R.I.T. agents Brandon Beckett (played by Chad Michael Collins) and Zeke “Zero” Rosenberg (Ryan Robbins) infiltrate a boat only to find a dead crew, it turns into an international incident. The Prime Minister of Costa Verde (Gérard Rudolf) publicly accuses the United States of terrorism which, in turn, forces them to dissolve G.R.I.T., leaving all the deployed agents on their own. While trying to lay low just outside the country, Beckett learns about Iron Legion, a band of mercenaries who have been hired by Prime Minister Roman Diaz to hunt down and kill Beckett and the local insurgents he’s working with known as Phoenix Rebellion. The disavowed agents and rebels must now work completely off-the-books in order to rescue their comrades being tortured by Iron Legion and save the people of Costa Verde from Diaz.

The question continuously asked throughout the film is “Where’s Brandon Beckett?”
Nobody cares.
Director Trevor Calverley (based on a script by Sean Wathen, Michael Frost Beckner and Crash Leyland) has to overcompensate for the absence of actual character development with numerous shout outs and name checks. What better way to make absolutely sure the viewer knows how important Beckett is than by constantly referencing him from both a hero perspective and a fear perspective?
Here we have an agent with a hero-level reputation, we have a government agency being dissolved due to a lack of oversight, we have a group of military-hardened mercenaries who are without countries of their own, we have operatives being disavowed — although they’re very careful not to use that term — and we even have one of the agents being taken somewhere with a black shroud over his head. So, basically, SNIPER: NO NATION is nothing more than an amateur hour MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION.
From the opening scene, the quality-level is on full display. While being held at gunpoint, the bad guys allow Zero to communicate the escape plan with hand signals. Then, while he’s removing the clip from his capture’s gun, the guys in charge of keeping Beckett down just watch it all happen. No need to react. Just gonna see how it all plays out for that guy before reacting.
And that’s in the film’s opening 2:10.
If you want a better military-flavored movie, watch SEVEN SNIPERS. If you want a better spy-flavored movie, watch it’s inspiration, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION. And, if you want the best action movie of 2026, watch THE FURIOUS. Is SNIPER: NO NATION serviceable for a streaming title? Sure, you can enjoy it while mentally checked out folding laundry and doing the dishes, but there’s a wealth of better options so why not choose one of them?
